Speed of light reactivity for Cameo


In October 2022, The Daily Star captured the UK’s attention with their now infamous 60p lettuce, asking whether it or then-PM Liz Truss would last longest.

We saw an opportunity for celeb video messaging site Cameo and pitched the idea of signing the viral vegetable – just like we do with all big celebrities. We got the client and the paper on board, and we got the lettuce’s Cameo page live in a matter of hours.

The press went wild for it, with Daily Star running no less than seven stories, and other media including Independent quickly followed suit. The amount of chat about it on Twitter was vast, and we even made it onto the lettuce’s Wiki page.
