Increasing Voter Turnout for the Election with JustPark

HEARTS

JustPark is a problem solver – providing parking in a matter of minutes wherever you are. With the first winter general election since 1923 announced in 2019, there were concerns around voter turnout due to people not wanting to venture out in the cold.

So, it seemed like the perfect time to solve another problem and for just one day only (voting day), we launched a special offer allowing people 30 minutes free parking near polling stations so they could vote without the hassle.

MINDS

We knew media were obsessed with the winter election and JustPark had a logical way to be part of the conversation.

By taking their proposition and positioning it as a solution for the public, we were cementing JustPark’s position as a problem solver and driving mass awareness. We enlisted the help of former home secretary Rt Hon. Alan Johnson to front our campaign and encouraged the nation to Just Park (and vote).

BOTTOM LINES

During the course of the day, we generated over 152 million online impressions, with 75% increase in social mentions

There was a 22% overall increase in social engagement, with LBC’s James O’Brien and BBC Brexitcast’s Dino Sofos promoting the campaign, which contributed to an overall influencer impression of over 1 million.
