Making noise for charity gigs

Youth Music’s Give A Gig Week is its flagship annual fundraising event, and we were asked to create noise and raise awareness of the event as well as shine a spotlight on its core mission: giving every young person the change to make, learn and earn in music.

Our tactics involved lining up interviews with headline talent and showcasing next generation artists, as well as hyping line-up announcements and securing hard working listings coverage.

We got loud and made plenty of noise about it, staffing five sell-out gigs over the week and placing over 20 pieces of high-quality, on message coverage. The stars of the show included an extended interview in The Guardian with YouthMusic’s CEO, plus a prominent segment on Sky News digging into the funding gap in grassroots music.
