To launch the McDonald’s Winning Sips peel-to-win promotion, we created a 2.5 metre high, interactive Winning Sips cup in Westfield Stratford, bringing on board reality TV star Harry Clark as a host and asking passers-by to prove if they were ‘glass half full’ people for the chance to win a variety of prizes.
We knew that a traditional media launch for a commercial promotion wouldn’t cut through, so we crafted some research looking at how optimistic the UK public were.
This acted as the springboard for the activation, testing the optimism of passersby through the interactive game and providing us with data for a PR story.
